Why Parallax
Medicine is no longer shaped by clinical training alone. The future of health is being influenced by AI, biotechnology, venture capital, public policy, mental health, physician burnout, and new models of leadership.
ParallaX gives Stanford Medical Students a space to explore those forces together. It is not another large panel series or recruiting event. It is a student-led forum for deeper conversation, cross-disciplinary connection, and more imaginative thinking about what healthcare can become.
Five Lenses for the Future of Health
ParallaX approaches healthcare through five connected lenses: medicine, technology, capital, society, and mindfulness. Together, these themes help students understand not only what is changing in health, but who they want to become as leaders within that change.

Firepit Night
Firepit Night is ParallaX’s signature gathering: a small-group evening designed for candid conversation between Stanford students and leaders shaping the future of health.
The format is intentionally simple: thoughtful guests, good questions, shared food, and a setting that invites students to speak honestly about medicine, technology, leadership, and the futures they hope to build.
